I had been struggling for years with pain in my knees when I ran. The pain was finally diagnosed to be caused by a weak vastus medialis muscle. I tried physical therapy and it just didn’t seem to be working for me. I was so frustrated and discouraged because it was keeping me from my goal of running a half marathon. Kristi, having given some thought to my predicament, approached me about trying Pilates saying she may be able to help. After “thinking” about it for almost a year, I finally took my first private Pilates session and so began my love of Pilates. I have been doing Pilates once a week with Kristi for almost 3 years now and not only has it strengthened my knees and enabled me to run that half marathon, it has changed my life. My husband says I have never been in better shape. I cannot stress enough what an amazing full body workout Pilates is without putting added stress and impact on joints while promoting a healthy and safe way to become stronger. Kristi is hands down a class act and an amazing instructor and friend. She is absolutely willing to go the extra mile and modify or troubleshoot based on a clients needs and she even makes the workouts fun!! I cannot even begin to sing her praises enough!
